I am a registered psychologist in Ontario and provide services in the areas of school and clinical psychology. In my practice I work with children, adolescents, emerging adults, and their families. I am dedicated to providing all clients with the highest standard of evidence-based practice.
I received my Doctoral Degree in Clinical-Developmental Psychology from York University in Toronto. This clinical training program is accredited by the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA) and is based on a scientist-practitioner model. I have worked in a variety of settings including accredited teaching hospitals such as the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) and the Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences. I have also worked in school settings and in private practices in the greater Toronto area.
When working in the school boards I provided psychological assessment and treatment services to students in elementary and secondary school settings. I worked collaboratively with special education teachers and school administrators to develop and implement comprehensive Individual Education Plans (IEPs) that met the unique needs of each exceptional student.
My PhD dissertation research was in the areas of youth development and program evaluation. The Ontario Ministry of Children and Youth Services funded the research evaluation of the Toronto Youth Outreach Worker Program. Through two phases of research evaluation, we developed a theoretically derived standardized reporting protocol. The Ministry and I hosted several major training conferences to launch the province-wide use of the reporting protocol. The implications of my research have made significant steps in developing uniform guidelines for professional conduct and desired outcomes for community youth outreach.
My professional affiliations include the College of Psychologists of Ontario and the Ontario Psychological Association.
